The anti-soiling system can also be applied to the MS-711 Spectroradiometer and will keep the quartz dome free of sand, dust, rain and snow. In desert environments soiling sometimes becomes an issue as the Irradiance measurement can be affected.
The air shield will prevent any snow, ice or condensation on the dome. In combination with the air-shield the best possible measures will be taken for reliable unattended operation.The air is filtered with a 3-stage high efficiency particle filter and accelerated by an air-turbine. From the turbine, a flexible hose supplies the air through the injector head around the dome.
The system can be easily attached and retrofitted to any installed MS-711 spectroradiometer. The air-shield system can be either grid-connected or operated through a solar power battery system to allow remote off-grid operation.
